Student Application Support

Applications are now closed for 25/26. Projects for the October 2026 intake will be advertised from Nov 2025.

We want you submit the best application possible. To support you in this, we have included downloadable templates of the application forms on our key documents page. Select the right application form, (either for our main projects or our iCASE studentships) and use the template to plan your application responses answer using the maximum character count before completing your online application. We highly recommend that you register to attend one of our candidate support webinars before you apply for tips on what the review panels are looking for.

Candidate Support Webinar

We provide a variety of application support, including Candidate Support Webinars. Each year we hold three live webinars that provide an overview of:

  • what doing a PhD entails
  • what the GW4 BioMed2 MRC DTP can offer you
  • how applications are assessed
  • what is expected within each section of the application form

We highly recommend attending one of the support sessions before you submit your application. To register, click on the event of your choosing and fill in the brief form. Later in the year we will also hold a webinar to support candidates who are invited to interview. We will contact shortlisted candidates with further details.

Webinar Dates:

  • To be announced
